If you guys are riding tomorrow in the afternoon let me know I'd meet up with you somewhere. I get off work around 06:00 tomorrow morning; I'll probably sleep until noon or so. I have to be back in Everett around 16:30, but the afternoon is wide open other than that.

Thanks Bong! I was planning on it but realized I didn't switch the insurance over on Saturday. Also had a bit of a time crunch to deal with.

Can't today, got roped into a bicycle ride. Should be interesting, haven't pedaled a bike in awhile...

Whoa Rich, congrats!!! Sorry it's taken a bit to read this thread, but I've been out of the loop a bit recently. It goes without saying, you're going to love the beast. What model year did you get? How about some pics?

Pics are forthcoming. But for now, just check out your garage, it's a 2010 S model in red. Stock except for the Termi full system. I pretty much copied you...:happy57:

Yup, gonna try to get out much more this year. Really need to do some runs over to Winthrop. Id also like to do the Neah Bay run too. I just hope the weather cooperates this year. Otherwise, I'm moving. All this rain is for the birds. Or toads...

You going to do any mods to the bike? Or just leave as is?

Well, here she is in all her glory:

http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x254/richardmeyer2/IMG00146-20110601-1648.jpg

So far, I adore this bike. The riding position is pretty much spot on, not too agressive but not to upright either. The big complaint I had about my Hyper was the riding position. It was great for ripping around the city but anything over 30 miles at speed had you wishing for something else.

The Termi's are a bit loud for me but a set of ear plugs will fix that. I rode the stock bike and pretty much hated it. The fueling on these bike from the factory is rubbish. Stock the bike felt neutered and hesitant. With the Termi's it feels proper. There is a little spot around 2500 rpms that isn't quite right (sounds like a pit lane speed limiter) but other than that its pretty good.

The power, oh my the power. I have a feeling this bike could get me in big trouble if I'm not careful. Its so smooth and so easy to ride fast. I cant wait to get it on the track and really open it up.

My only real complaint so far is the stock foot pegs SUCK. Not sure who designed them but they are extremely slick. That will be the first thing to go. I've seen some nice aftermarket ones, although rearsets would also be nice. I like having the non-folding pegs. I know I said this about my Hyper, but I am totally content to just leave this bike alone and ride the shit out of it (we'll see how long that lasts...) Now that I have something with a decent fuel range, im starting to think about some trips again.

To sum it up, I haven't been this excited about a bike in a long time. Feels good.

EDIT: After looking at that pic, the clutch cover has got to go. Oh boy, this is how it starts....

I've got Lightech rearsets on mine. Love them more than I love the bike.

In other words, that's a lot of love right there. ;)

Not sure exactly how much adjustability there is. My cousin is borrowing my bike right now, so I cant go look. I can say tho that they have plenty options for adjustability. The pegs themselves are also very gnarley, so that'll cure the slipping problem. Expensive tho! $700 for the pair.

Have this exact set. Mine fold. Looks like if you get the fixed pegs, you'll save yourself about $80!

Both of them here:
