I just dragged this bike home .. 1985 Cagiva Ally 650
Now I need to resist the temptation to get rid of the airbox rejet the carbs before its up and running

Great project! Is it going back together in stock trim, or cafe-like, or maybe resto-mod?

The plan is to keep it mostly stock.

Once I have a baseline of how it runs.

Do the following mods

Airbox delete. Malossi filters, buy or build a 2 into 1 pipe, new braided brake lines, different handlebars, ed's bar risers so the forks can be dropped in the yoke. 520 chain conversion with TBD gearing.

I like it!
I always like these projects- I have a new one myself, but not as fun.

Personally, I'm a big believer in airboxes...

After a couple of nights in the garage I got the Ally up and running.
I took it out for a 20 mile putt around this afternoon.
I need to fiddle with the carbs a bit more and get them balanced.

Great to see it come back to life.
