Did anyone watch race one in WSBK where Lanzi missed the first turn?
What do you folks think about the 20 second ride-through penalty? I guess it's better than a stop and go, or a black flag.
Gotta give the guy credit for finishing in the top 10 after that little stint!
Still haven't seen race 2, but from the looks of things, Laconi may have some upcoming instability for 2006 :evilgrin3
On another topic, what's up with guys like Corser, and before that, Tommy Hayden laying back and taking it easy once the championship has been locked up in their favor? How about go out like a champion instead of hanging back and being safe. I understand the concept of being safe and not taking unnecessary risks but geez, I hate seeing champions finishing somewhere in the top 5 or 10 instead of continuing to show us how they got there
Lanzi sure was fun to watch out there - what's up with Toseland? As for Corser, didn't he go down trying to stay out front? Wouldn't that qualify as tyring hard - and Tommy Hayden broke his wrist at Laguna but still rode to the end.

Didn't see Corser closer than 3rd in the first race. Hayden in AMA supersport came in like 7th in the last race of the season in which he had already locked up the lead.

Tommy had to finish in the top 20 to win. If he binned it be would have lost the championship to his brother.

Exactly, there is a difference between having enough points that they don't have to race the last race, and having to finish in a certian position to seal it, in that case, why risk bumping elbows to blow a whole season?
That's the difference between strategy and tactics.

Good to see you posting, Torben!
I don't want to spoil it for you, so...watch race 2...I think you'll enjoy it!

Looks like Ducati might have 4 factory bikes(2 on the Xerox team and 2 on a satellite team) in WSB in 2006. Hopefully Lanzi will be on one of them.

Yes, I'm back! :evilgrin3 So time to start behaving again!
I'll watch race 2 tonight - I hear it was quite good. I'd vote for Lanzi in place of Laconi for '06. Nice seeing the F05 in front - especially since he came from supersport last season

:) So that race 2 made me smile a lot. That kid's got a lot of talent. Maybe the satellite Ducati team will give him up so the factory can get a hot shot kid from Bologna on the team.
Laconi sure looked a bit nervous watching his bike being ridden by his possible replacement :p

I'm just hoping that Lanzi's reults will kick Toseland and Laconi's ass into gear. Nothing like having a temp come in while your sick and do a WAY better job than you. ;-)

Is a factory-team limited to just two riders?
Or...could we see all three on factory bikes in '06 if Ducati went along with it?
It seemed Laconi was having a better year than Toseland all along, I'd rather see Lanzi replave Toseland :p !
