Conditions:
Rained through about 10AM, then let up. The first session was a rain session, the 2nd a transition session, and after that was pretty dry. Got better each session of the day.

Track Changes:
Apparently today was the first day anyone got to ride on the “new” bus-stop. The whole area has been repaved and the paving significantly expanded. 2-Fast had about 100 cones to replicate the old bus stop. The pavement is brand-new, so potentially a bit greasy, especially when wet. It felt a bit smoother and faster to me.

I wonder how likely the config is going to stay the same for WMRRA stuff, and if it doesn’t, if Sully’s record will fall as a result?

Otherwise, the day was pretty smooth. Very few crashes and red flags. I only saw 2, and the first one lasted less than 5 minutes. I only saw one yellow.

Had a great time riding around with Jim, Larry, Keri, Andrew, Steve, Doug, and Scott. Picked up some pace during the day, and a little more feel, so it was a very fun and successful day.

Still, doesn’t leave many stories to report unless you want to hear how I was passing folks here and there, went wide in T2 twice, but finally remembered not to panic and to look through the turn to get it, and got a bit faster and smoother through T5-7, and turned inside an instructor on T2 in the R/100 level (a no-no)…

FYI - There's a lot of talk/information about the "new" bus stop at WMRRA.com.

Plus a link to a video if you want to take a look at it. I am not going to know what to do in the bus stop anymore.

Typically this is going through my mind "Ok, come wide through T9, line up to rub the left side on the bike on the cone and knock it over, dive right just missing the curbing, grab a handfull of throttle and not go dirt tracking:happy57: " If I do go dirt tracking, grip it and rip it and hang on!

Now it is going to be all screwy. Smooth and no potholes! What am I going to do.

Like I said... it'll be great when they hit the rest of the track with new black top.
