I have the stock exhaust off the 749. Thing weights about 50 lbs! :scared10:

Question is do I keep it, chuck it, or put it up on flea bay?

Right now I don't see a use for it, but I am sure there is a logical reason to let it take up space in the garage, isn't there?

I am sure many of you have seen the in-line four BBQ setup someone has at the track (a grill/smoker that uses an old four into one for the stove pipe). It looks pretty cool (esp when those guys are smoking ribs or whatever -- always smells great), but I can't imagine how you would fashion one out of your 749 exhaust. :p

One of the better reasons to buy an inline 4 that I've heard of :happy57:

Other than taking the time to actually re-install for use at Laguna, there is no reason to keep it. Would you really take the aftermarket pipe off when you sell the bike? If not, then either junk it or donate/sell.

Keep them in case Seattle follows Denver with outlawing loud pipes. I mean Seattle is considering banning plastic shopping bags, right?

Has anyone ever heard of the Ducati stock exhaust sculpture at Burning Man? I think Dave R has a picture somewhere. Is this sparking any ideas Jeremy?

I was thinking about that exact same thing. I wonder what kind of cool artwork can I make of stock Ducati exhausts. I have a 749 stock exhaust and to stock cans from a SS or ST4.... My wife if very creative, might have to get her input on some garage art.

Table lamp for the study?

One of these days I'm going to make a piar of lamps with the stainless cans off my KTM 950.

Actually, A good idea is to keep it and if you ever sell/trade the bike go back to stock ( as they really don't give you more for it) and sell the performance exhaust. Probably get more in return that way.

I'm in need of a stock exhaust for a ST4/ST3/ST2. I'm installing a 2000 ST4 motor in a 1991 851. I want to use the ST4 headers with the FbF carbon pipes that came with the 851. In order to do that, I need the pipes that connect the ST4 cans to the ST4 header. So does anyone here have a set of ST4/ST3/ST2 cans (even damaged) that they would like to sell?

Thanx
Chris

I've got a set with no damage or scratches from an '02 ST4S.
