Tomorrow morning (Sunday June 17) I'm going to be leaving bright and early (you guys are starting to rub off on me) on my big adventure down to Yosemite Natl Park. I'm planning on taking the first two days to ride down Hwy 101 through Northern California before cutting east just before San Fransisco. Once I get there I'll be staying at my friends cabin and spending an entire day just riding through Yosemite. Then spending a few days camping/boating at Lake Don Pedro with some friends then spending a few days coming back via Lake Tahoe, Crater Lake, Bend Oregon and Mt St Helens. Got a full service done and brand new tires this last week so the bike is in top shape. I'm expecting close to 2500 miles in the next week and a half.

Anyway, I will be sure to post up a good trip report and lots of pics upon my triumphant return. Have fun while I'm gone guys and I'll try to make it over to the bike night when I get back.

Safe travels, allow yourself time to enjoy the beauty of the country you're travel through, and above all best of luck throughout your journey.

PS - What did you pack to clean your visor a couple times a day? Zip lock bag with some folded moist paper towels works well, unfold one and lay it on the visor for a couple minutes then wipe use a soft towel to dry.

Enjoy!

299 ROCKS! :happy44:

Great road for an event superior to the Silver State Classic IMO.

Well, I wasn't able to hit 299, but I went right by it. It just wasn't feasible with the route I had planned out. There was a stretch of road that connected Hwy 1 back to Hwy 101 that I wanted to hit, and I am glad I did. I put in about 500 miles today and it was hands down the best day of riding I've ever done. Some very technical and challenging, some very open and throttle worthy, but all of it amazing. I'm happy, but totally exhausted after today, it was rough. I'm in Cloverdale, CA right now (smooth talked the counter girl into letting me use her computer for a little bit) and I'm heading up to Groveland, CA tomorrow. I don't have any pics just yet, they're still all on my phone, but I'll upload em when I can. Until then I posted up a couple blog entries with some more of the nitty gritty:
