Ok, here's a stupid question. Does my 2006 MTS 1000 DS have a rev limiter? Can't find anything in the owners manual except the max engine speed of 8700 rpm. But is it electronically limited, or is the fate of my engine left solely to my right hand?
As you can tell, I don't spend that much time near the limit...

That's exactly what I was thinking coming up on 8000...should I see if it's there. Didn't have the nerve or $. Thanks, Scott.

My 2003 MTS did. Can't remember what it was but not very high rpms.

Don't worry about the $$, it's free! It's there to save you $$, so there is no harm in bumping up against the limiter...it just startles you a bit.
