A friend of mine is going to strip his bike this winter & needs the frame repainted. I suggested powder coating but neither of us has any idea of cost & where to go locally. Anyone have any firsthand experience, good or bad?

Thx,
Zach

Powdercoating is better than paint because it's hard to chip, for frames, which have tools knocking against them and are likely to chip, I highly recommend it.

Powdercoating, Inc. in Mukilteo has good rep and they'll give club members a 10% discount if we meet the modest minimum. There is another thread where some of us are considering going in on this.

RMC Powdercoating is a couple blocks from me in Burien.
Not sure how good there are but they have quoted me some good costs in the past.
