I will be riding in the 2-Fast Seattle 100 this year and have committed to raise the $500 fee for the day which all goes to the NephCure Foundation. Whatever I can't raise I will pay but it would be awesome if some of you could find it in your hearts to donate some of your hard earned money for this cause. This is your chance to show how much the motorcycle community can rally for a cause (and your chance to help Greg play). If you feel inclined, follow the link below:
http://www.active.com/donate/seattle1002009/TOtheseattle100
and if you want to know more about the Seattle 100 and the Nephcure foundation visit the 2 Fast website and click on the Seattle 100.

Thanks for your support, Greg

Kurt, I (actually we, as both Jake and Diego plan on attending) Thank You very much for your most generous support of the Seattle 100 and their fund raising for the NephCure foundation. May your highways always be dry and twisty.
Thank You,
Greg

Rich, I probably now owe you a bike wash or something. :happy57: Cool, that should keep me from having to wash mine for another couple of months. I would hate for that Ramones decal on the rear rim to become to prominent.
May your highways always be dry and twisty.
Thank You for your support,
Greg

Bump for a really good cause (no, not me silly, the NephCure Foundation). :happy57:
I've almost reached my original goal :wohoo::wohoo::wohoo:but it would be really cool to raise some more money for this cause. 100% of all donations go directly to the NephCure Foundation. Absolutely nothing is skimmed off for producing the event.
Consider it this way: you are no longer donating just to put an old slow guy on the track, you are donating to give hope to many infants and families stricken with this condition (5 out of 100,000, which when you do the math is one hell of a lot of little babies/children).
So postpone that next bling purchase and buy yourself some good Karma.
Thank You,
Greg
P.S. Jake and Diego have even been forgoing some of their biscuit treats in order to save enough dough to donate!

So with Jake and Diego's donations my total raised for the Seattle 100 fund raising drive for the NephCure Foundation now stands @ $852. I'd love to see it get over $1,000.
Get me your favorite picture of you riding @ the track or on the street and for a small donation I will get one of the celebrity racers to autograph it. Now that's a deal you can't pass up!
Many thanks to the DNW members who have already contributed.

You're part of my pit crew aren't you? I don't think there is any admission fee for the day. Join Aaron and myself (Jake too) for a day of fun. Chris and Larry are coming and even Carol has promised to visit the track for the first time in the afternoon. Should be a great day!

Stole this off the PNWRiders site:
Don't quote me 100% on this, but it should be somewhat accurate:
riding starts 9 AM, Gates will open early....very early for the riders as usuall.
Gate entrance fee for non participants: It's been $10.00 in the past (all goes to Nephcure, so it's a donation) Might be per head, might be per vehicle. I don't remember so be prepared either way.
Free food: usually not for spectators. There should be the snack bar/grill open that normally operates on track days/race weekends. Bring your own drinks and sammiches if ya want.
12 PM is the usual exhibition show with the pro riders, a little kids ride, and some other fun stuff. Be there for that hour for sure, it's the most fun to watch.
autographs are usually pretty random. You will see the guys wandering around the pits quite a bit.
Hope that helps a little.
See Y'all Saturday.

I'm impressed. To date DNW members have contributed over $250 towards my fundraising for NephCure.:wohoo::wohoo:
Aaron (Downhillskater) has raised almost $650 for the foundation.:happycheers::happycheers:
Several of you have not only donated to both Aaron and myself but to other riders as well.
Keep it up folks, you're almost causing me to get a little misty eyed.
Thank You all! :bowdown::bowdown::bowdown:

It's going to be a fantastic day to come and watch! Elena is quick and that's no joke. But I can honestly tell ya, I schooled her down the front straightaway in Thunderhill 2 years ago when she was on a 250. :happy57:That was the highlight of my day. She kindly returned the favor in EVERY TURN by passing me like I was taking a stroll.
Drop by, say hi people, 2-Fast marshal, red 749, #21. Only Asian staffer for 2-Fast so you cant miss me. :)

Only 2 shopping days left for the best Karma shot of the year. Opportunities like this don't come along very often (this event receives the official Good Dog Jake & Diablo Diego seal of approval).

It is even rumored that the festival of Monkeys that typically are seen in Spare Parts LTD endurance pits are going to make an appearance. A site to behold.

Good Karma?
Bad Karma?
It was his shakedown early spring run of his new race bike. He had spent all winter and most of his savings building the ultimate lightweight superbike. It was his 2nd lap on the new bike when entering turn 10 @ Thunderhill Raceway Park the rider in front of him unexpectantly chopped his throttle.
Guess he forgot to give to the Seattle 100 and it's fundraiser for the NephCure Foundation.

Well, a pretty fun day overall I think! The weather was grand, the exhibition riding was fun to watch and it's easy to see why the pro's are pro's when you watch them ride.:bowdown::bowdown:
Hayes and Holden are incredible, and Elana Meyers is sure to be a big name in the not too distant future. (actually she's big already, but will surely be bigger!)
I ran into Scott and visited Greg and Aaron pitting together. I also saw a few other Ducatis there but didn't recognize any of the riders. We did see Kurt's old 749.
All my pics are here (http://martys.smugmug.com/gallery/9040817_fRksi#601627172_q2baH), below are a few highlights.
Here's some other guy I saw sitting on the edge of an RV

Lash and his Desmosedici can't seem to catch Mark DeGross' youngest on his EDR prepped pit bike.

Josh Hayes giving pillion instructions to a young lady about to get a ride around with Jake Holden. Something about "hold on for dear life" comes to mind!

OMG it was bloody HOT
Good day all in all. A bit of a crash fest in the AM as the track was pretty greasy from the heat and it seems if every bike that went down oiled the track. Waiting in the sun in hot leathers is not high on my list of things to do.
Stayed for the banquet after where the 4 VIP riders held a Q&A for the better part of an hour. Interesting and funny as hell.
Once again I would like to thank all of you who supported me and my fundraising for the NephCure Foundation.

I was the marshals riding the only yellow 749 out there. You probably didnt see me much because I called it quits after lunch. Tires were greasy and it was way too hot to enjoy.
