Bought my Monster 'bout a month ago but been working a lot of overtime so havent had much time to ride, fact is this is the first weekend I've had off since I bought it. I have managed to put about 500 miles on it though. Man is it fun. This is one cool bike. Took the carbon canister off, added some Rizmoza barend sliders and mirrors and a FMF Apex exhaust.Put the exhaust on late after work and my son and I just sat there listening to it and grinning, what a sweet sounding motor. Am hoping work will slow down a bit so I can ride more but then again without the work I wouldnt have the Monster..

Your right about the area, lotsa nice twistie backroads with little or no traffic. Two nice little roads over our local passes,Loop Loop and Disautel. Perfect place to ride.. Would post pic but live in the buckbrush and have to live with dial up. If I get time will post from work, have DSL there.

Maybe next Spring/Summer you can lead a DNW ride in your neck of the woods. It's been 6 years since I did Loop Loop :riding:

Enjoy the bike when you can, and try not to feel guilty. It's good to have a job (anytime), and especially one that can support our bad habits. Even if it means having a bike sitting in the garage for a good chunk of the year.

Amen, Brother! Gotta take it when we can! And do a lot of daydreaming when we can't.

Even in the winter, there are plenty of days over on that side of the mountains for a nice ride. Cool temps but the roads are nice and dry.
