Aprilia still in pieces, so no sprint racing for me.

Endurance "B" bike ('04 R6) which I ride on got 2nd in class (middleweight) and 2nd overall...missed 1st by 1 lap. Our 3rd rider had a minor lowside in T13 in his 1st session, so that delay (about 10 minutes or so) was the difference.

Endurance "A" bike ('08 R6) got 3rd in class (heavyweight) and I believe 4th overall. They had a faulty oil filter that took about 40 minutes overall to diagnose and fix...so the lap deficit was too large to overcome. Still pretty good considering.

I guess we were due. We've had pretty uneventful endurance races the past 5 times, with only relatively minor issues...we paid for it all at once this race.

The new T13-16 layout at the Ridge still sucks, but not as bad as I originally thought to ride. It adds about a second to the lap times. It seems to be a bit more dangerous though, which sucks.

Bummer about going down in round 1. Glad you walked away!

(I've been out of it for a while) What made them redo turn 13 at the Ridge? How/why did it end up worse?

They reconfigured T13 to prevent the asphalt degradation they were having from the cars. Basically extended the back straight a bit and and made the turn sharper, so everyone gets their braking done on the straight instead of around the corner. It doesn't flow as well though IMO, and is more dangerous when racing. Not terrible, but not as nice.

I gotta say, my pit crew ROCKS!

From a minor lowside in T-3, morning practice, the failure of a brand new $10 oil filter and a minor lowside midrace, the crew was kept busy all day. Issues were dealt with and bikes were back on track in short order. Lost our #1 plate for the 1st time in 3 years. Still managed to podium both bikes and a great time was had by all. If it's true that adversity makes you stronger, look out for next year as we aim to return to the top of the podium.
